GERMAIN YARDE

Germain is a long-time advocate for sustainable development projects and applies a holistic design approach to every project he touches. He has more than 16 years of experience in leading large commercial and hospitality projects ranging from $4.5 million USD to $60 million USD.

After graduating from the Caribbean School of Architecture at the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architectural Studies (Honours), Germain worked as a design and project architect with Interisland Architects and Planners in association with Newel Lewis Broadbridge Associates (NLBA) on a variety of commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects that are well known within the community. He has experience in all aspects of project design, construction, including zoning interpretation, site planning, construction documentation, and site review. Germain is also experienced in the LEED green building principles and practices.

His design experience involving the integration of sustainability within the built environment for hospitality and commercial developments, has allowed him to collaborate with developers to achieve LEED certification for their projects. His detailed knowledge of the local market and built environment is invaluable to overseas investors and developers, and his ability to collaborate with such clients is unmatched. His active participation with the creative design process begins with the conceptualization of ideas and continues through the design, development, and contract documentation processes.
